Job Title: Civils Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:
Our client, a reputable civil engineering company based in the Highlands of Scotland, is seeking an experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of impactful projects, including Sub Stations, Utilities, Residential, and Commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and manage budgets for civil engineering projects, ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy.
- Valuations and Payments: Conduct valuations, process payments, and manage financial documentation to ensure timely and accurate payments to contractors and suppliers.
- Contract Administration: Oversee contract management, including reviewing contract terms, managing variations, and resolving disputes.
- Cost Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts, providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Procurement: Manage the procurement of materials and services, ensuring value for money and compliance with project requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify, analyse, and manage potential risks to minimise financial exposure on projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications in Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the civil engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of contract law, construction processes, and financial management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel and project management software.
- Valid UK right to work is required.
