An established and growing construction contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its team in the Highlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to join a busy and well-established contractor delivering a varied portfolio of construction projects.
The Role
Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing project costs, budgets and commercial performance

Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts
-
Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and management
-
Preparing and reviewing subcontractor payments
-
Cost forecasting and reporting
-
Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
-
Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and Contracts Managers
-
Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
-
Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed commercial targets
About You
We are looking for someone with:
-
Previous Quantity Surveying experience within construction
-
Experience working for a main contractor or building contractor preferred
-
Strong commercial and contractual awareness
-
Experience managing subcontractor packages
-
Good negotiation and communication skills
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
-
Relevant Quantity Surveying or construction qualification preferred
-
Full UK driving licence
