The Opportunity
A leading civil engineering and construction contractor, recognised for its work across infrastructure and renewables, is looking to appoint a Reporting & Digital Transformation Analyst to join its team in Inverness.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and people, and who can turn information into clear, useful reporting that supports better business decisions.
Working closely with the Compliance Director and teams across HSEQ, Commercial, Operations and Senior Management, you will play an important role in improving how the business captures, manages and presents information.
The role combines data analysis, business reporting, digital tools and process improvement, making it ideal for someone who is naturally analytical, organised and digitally minded.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the preparation, maintenance and continuous improvement of business reporting, compliance data and digital reporting solutions across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the reporting calendar and coordinating deadlines across the business.
- Gathering, collating, validating and analysing information for HSEQ, management, client, bid, contract close and board-level reporting.
- Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, Microsoft Forms, trackers, organograms and other digital reporting tools.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, workflows and systems.
- Supporting the development of more efficient and consistent digital reporting solutions.
- Maintaining compliance and performance trackers, including NCR, PPC and departmental monitoring records.
- Supporting QMS, audit, management review and accreditation requirements by ensuring records and evidence are accurate and accessible.
- Assisting with PQQs, client questionnaires and framework submissions using reliable, evidence-based information.
- Preparing presentations, reports and other management information.
- Working with teams across the organisation to ensure reporting requirements are clearly understood and deadlines are achieved.
- Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of the company's digital reporting capability.
About You
We're looking for someone who is analytical, organised and confident working with data, with an interest in using technology to improve the way a business operates.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in a reporting, data analysis, business systems, compliance or digital transformation role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to data validation.
- Experience working with Power BI and Microsoft 365.
- The ability to turn complex or varied information into clear and meaningful reports.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with multiple data sources.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people across different departments.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
- An interest in digital transformation, automation and improving business processes.
Experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, renewables or a similar project-based environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
