Site Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of high-quality residential housing developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a passion for delivering exceptional homes, maintaining the highest health and safety standards, and leading successful site teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring developments are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while delivering an outstanding customer experience throughout the home buying journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day site operations from commencement through to completion.
- Deliver residential developments on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead, motivate and support Assistant Site Managers and Trainee Site Managers.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
- Maintain excellent standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across site.
- Ensure all site inductions, inspections, accident reporting and compliance records are maintained.
- Liaise closely with Commercial, Procurement and Construction Management teams to effectively manage budgets, costs and programme.
- Provide accurate and timely progress updates to senior management.
- Work collaboratively with the Sales team to ensure an excellent customer journey, including pre-handover and handover of new homes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while meeting NHBC standards and company procedures.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, clients and external stakeholders.
- Promote a positive, professional and proactive working environment on site.
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have proven experience managing residential housing developments.
- Possess excellent knowledge of current Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
- Hold a valid CSCS card and a recognised Site Management qualification (SMSTS or equivalent).
- Be highly organised with excellent planning and coordination skills.
- Be confident managing subcontractors, budgets and project programmes.
- Have strong communication and leadership skills.
- Be able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Be customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality homes.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a strong work ethic.
