Site Manager
Location: Inverness / Scottish Highlands
We are currently working with an established and reputable construction company, who are seeking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects across the Scottish Highlands, working within a well-established business with a strong reputation for quality and professionalism.
The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Site Manager will have responsibility for the effective management and delivery of construction projects from commencement through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the day-to-day operations and activities on site.

Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
-
Planning and programming works to ensure projects remain on programme.

Monitoring progress, quality and productivity throughout the project.

Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.

Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

Managing site resources, materials and labour effectively.
-
Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues.
-
Maintaining accurate site records, reports and project documentation.

Working closely with the Contracts Manager and wider project team to ensure successful project delivery.

Supporting the commercial team with project cost control and variations where required.
About You
The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a Site Management position within the construction sector and will be confident managing projects, subcontractors and site teams.
You will ideally possess:

Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes and standards.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

The ability to effectively manage subcontractors and site personnel.

A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site procedures.

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

SMSTS and First Aid qualifications.
