About the Role
Paxton Personnel is seeking a skilled Workshop Fitter/Mechanic to join a reputable company within the construction and engineering sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to work with a leading organisation, maintaining and repairing a range of construction plant and heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on construction plant and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Workshop Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role within construction or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds in Plant Maintenance or Engineering) are desirable.
- A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work.
