We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team within the temporary industry sector. Based in the Highlands, this role requires a professional who can efficiently manage costs, maximise value, and oversee contractual disputes to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and managing cost estimates, budgets, and contractual documentation, alongside providing commercial guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account, working closely with project managers, site teams, clients, subcontractors and senior management.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure.

You will ideally have:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or construction.
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
Experience managing projects from commencement through to final account.
Good understanding of NEC and/or other major forms of construction contract.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider project team.
A commercially astute and proactive approach.
Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Chartered status or working towards chartership would be advantageous, but experience, attitude and commercial ability are equally important.

Support Quality Management System (QMS), audit, management review and accreditation requirements.
Ensure supporting documents, records and compliance information remain accurate and accessible.
Assist with PQQs, client questionnaires, framework submissions and presentation materials using accurate and evidence-based data.

About You

We are looking for someone who is analytical, organised and comfortable working with data from different areas of a business.

You should have:

Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Experience using Power BI or similar reporting/visualisation tools.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy.
The ability to organise information and manage multiple reporting deadlines.
Good communication skills and confidence liaising with different departments.
An interest in digital transformation, process improvement and developing more efficient ways of working.
The ability to present complex information in a clear and useful format.

Experience working with compliance, HSEQ, quality management systems or construction/infrastructure-related reporting would be advantageous.
